Kathy Dalley started working in critical care in 1994 and became a BACCN member, in 1995.

Since her first National Conference in 1997. she has been a regular contributor, presenting at 8 BACCN conferences, often collaboratively with 1 poster, 5 workshops and 8 oral papers (one of which was awarded best free paper prize in 2005).  She has also chaired sessions at a number of the national conferences, in addition to regional work for the BACCN.

Kathy receiving here award from ChristineKathy was elected to the Southern Region committee in 2000 and spent 6 years as treasurer, before taking roles as National Board Link, Web Editor and latterly, Chair (post held 2010 - 2012).  She has been a peer-reviewer for the associated journal, Nursing in Critical Care since 2005.  Kathy has also represented the BACCN at the National Organ Donation Committee.

Throughout Kathy’s time with the BACCN she has been dedicated to sharing her knowledge and skills of critical care nursing and has been a joy to work with.  As a result of her dedication to the organisation the BACCN have awarded Kathy with an Honorary membership.

Kathy is relocating abroad for the next few years.  She will be greatly missed as an active member of the Southern Region.  May we all wish her and her family well in their new adventures ahead.
