This year's Conference is really revving up as we work hard to make the 4th International BACCN Conference better than ever before! Inspired by the upcoming Olympics and Diamond Jubilee events, we are pulling out all the stops to make this year's conference a truly brilliant British event...
We are pleased to announce several new and exciting additions to the scientific programme.
You have a chance to be part of this fantastic conference - all you need to do is submit an abstract using our online system before Wednesday 9th May. Click here to be directed to the submission page.
We're welcoming submissions from all Critical Care professionals. These presentations form an important and integral part of the Conference programme. There will be a number of oral presentations and workshops, together with poster displays and ViPERs. The conference will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Patient Safety
- Research & Innovation
- Leadership Development
- End of Life Care

We will be running a series of live simulation sessions for you to book into in both adult and peadiatric scenarios; including preparation for transfer and anaphylaxis management. This will be faculty led by clinical experts and is hosted by Laerdal Medical Ltd.
We hope to also announce details for pre-conference masterclass simulation sessions, taking place on Sunday 9th September. Keep checking Facebook and Twitter for the latest news.
Alongside the series of key note speakers and concurrent sessions there will be two dedicated symposia:
Monday 10th - Paediatrics Symposium - headed by Jos Latour Nurse Scientist, Netherlands, & Fiona Lynch, Nurse Consultant, Evalina Childrens' Hospital, Guys & St Thomas', London.
Tuesday 11th - Research Symposium for experienced and novice critical care nurse researchers with speakers from ICNARC, and sessions by Drs John Albarran (Bristol) and Bronagh Blackwood (Northern Ireland).
Back by popular demand, we will be hosting another afternoon of sessions dedicated to Healthcare Assistants and Assistant Practitioners including the BEACH course & certificate.
