The 25th BACCN Conference is taking place from Monday 13th until Tuesday 14th September 2010. This year’s Conference, “Taking Pride in Practice; Celebrating 25 Years” is taking place in Southport’s Theatre and Convention Centre. The conference attracts over 300 high calibre delegates from the field of Critical Care. The various specialities involved include clinical nursing, research, management, education and training.

As you will know by now we are celebrating 25 years as a proactive and influential organisation. This year’s conference title was designed with this in mind as we our proud of what we have, currently are and will continue to achieve in the next 25 years for Critical Care.There will be something extra special for conference delegates this year along with an all star masked ball dinner and huge birthday cake, so start planning your special outfits and masks for the big occasion.

The BACCN Conference Committee welcomes abstract submissions that address clinical, educational and professional issues at the leading edge of Critical Care Nursing. The Conference Committee are particularly interested to receive abstracts submitted on the following five themes:·
- Patient & Carers Experience of Critical Care
- Education
- Research & Development
- Excellence in Practice
- Staffing and The Critical Care Team

Exhibition & Event Features
The exhibition this year will be even better than 2009 with over 40 stands. The exhibition also includes the Chill Out Zone, where delegates are able to unwind and be pampered, and a WiFi Lounge where you will be able to keep up to date with emails. Further information on the Chill Out Zone will be available shortly. Exhibiting at the conference will be many key companies in the field of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and supplies, recruitment agencies and other related organisations relevant to critical care professionals.
