Conference Review
Monday 14th September through to Wednesday 16th September 2009 saw the 3rd International Conference for the British Association of Critical Care Nurses take place in Northern Ireland’s capital city, Belfast. The conference, ‘An International Perspective; Cementing Alliances & Forging Success, saw delegates from Europe and beyond attend.
The Conference was a huge success and was attended by over 350 delegates. With the programme filled with informative keynotes and hands on workshops the delegates were able to gain knowledge and new experiences. The exhibition also proved to be a popular part of the conference with many of the delegates attending the official opening within the exhibition.
Delegates were also given the chance to see true Irish dancers in action at the welcome reception at Queen’s University Belfast on the Sunday evening. On Tuesday evening, the famous Europa hotel welcomed our delegates with the McStocker Ceildh Band filling the dance floor for the entire night.
We would also like to say a special thank you to Avril Wilson from Ulster Hospital who provided the beautiful flower displays in the main auditorium.
All in all a very successful conference for all who attended and we look forward to welcoming you to Southport for the 2010 Conference, Taking Pride in Practice.
