Background
The British Association of Critical Care Nurses - BACCN - is one of the leading Organisations in critical care nursing. BACCN was established in 1985 and has grown and developed through the hard work and dedication of its members, regional committees and National Board.
The 15 BACCN regions span Great Britain and Northern Ireland providing one of the largest and influential professional Organisations within critical care.
BACCN Philosophy
The British Association of Critical Care Nurses is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of excellence in the provision and delivery of critical care nursing through mutual support, education, research and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The BACCN is managed by a National Board elected by the membership to serve for a two-year period. Each board member holds a specific role and is able to stand for re-election after a two-year period of service. National Board Members come from various positions and roles within critical care and critical care education and from around the UK.

Administrative Support Team
The National Board are supported by the Administration Executive based in our offices in Newcastle. This has recognised the growth and expansion of the organisation as well as a commitment to provide excellent administration services to it's members, corporate partners and sponsors.
